Wildlife
Co-Management Boards

Inuit leadership is foundational for carrying out the Nanuk Narratives project in ways that align with community and region-specific values, priorities, and needs. Multiple Inuit wildlife co-management boards are co-leading this work: the Torngat Wildlife and Plants Co-management Board in Nunatsiavut, the Nunavik Marine Region Wildlife Board (NMRWB), and the Nunavut Wildlife Management Board (NWMB).

Interdisciplinary Working Group

An independent Interdisciplinary Working Group with both Inuit and non-Inuit polar bear experts has been organized to think about new and innovative ways of managing the Davis Strait Polar Bear Subpopulation. This working group is acting as an advisory team for Nanuk Narratives.
