The Nanuk Narratives initiative acknowledges the traditional territories of Inuit in Nunatsiavut, Nunavik, Nunavut, and Greenland, and honors their enduring relationship with the land, waters, and wildlife. We recognize that these regions have been the ancestral homes of the Inuit for thousands of years, and we respect their deep knowledge, culture, and stewardship practices that continue to shape these regions. As we work on this project, we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with the Inuit communities of these areas, whose voices and wisdom guide the way forward in understanding and preserving the environment. We are committed to fostering relationships based on respect, reciprocity, and shared knowledge, and to honoring Inuit worldviews that have long been rooted in these lands.
